We treat all orthopedic conditions as well as activity limitations, impairments in athletic performance and general deconditioning. Orthopedic conditions are those caused by dysfunction of muscle, bone, tendon or ligament and can be anything from temporomandibular dysfunction (jaw pain) to Achilles tendinopathy (heel pain) . If you are experiencing a neurological, cardiovascular, pelvic floor, or other condition, we are happy to provide a referral to the right health care practitioner. If you are unsure whether your issue is orthopedic in nature, please book a consultation call for further guidance.
We treat pre-teens to older adults. If you have a child under age 10 needing care for an orthopedic issue, we are happy to provide a referral for a pediatric PT. We do not treat the geriatric population due to accessibility limitations (our clients must be able to take a flight of stairs to get to our treatment space); however, we are happy to provide a referral for a PT in this situation as well.
We do not bill insurance companies directly and are only cash-based. However, we can submit a claim on your behalf to your insurance company after your appointment for reimbursement. We can also help identify up-front what your insurance benefits are and how much you will be out-of-pocket for each appointment after reimbursement. If you prefer to submit a claim for reimbursement to your insurance company yourself, we can also provide you with a superbill (itemized statement) after your appointment. We do not take insurance directly due to the often poor reimbursement they provide to physical therapists.
It depends on the day and time, but give us a call or email us and we will try to find a time that works best for you.
At this time, we only see clients at our office. However, we can provide a referral for a mobile PT in your area.
You do not need one to see us initially. If you are in need of our continued services after 8 appointments, Georgia law requires us to have a physician referral in order to continue treating you.
You as the patient have the right to choose where you get care! This means if your physical therapy referral has a particular PT clinic on it, the physician office has an established relationship with that PT clinic. However, you can take that PT referral to any physical therapist you choose.
The traditional model of physical therapy is 2-3 appointments per week for 6-8 weeks. However, we believe the same results can be achieved at a lower cost and time burden to the patient by providing a tailored home exercise program (HEP) that the patient performs on their own daily. When seeing us in person ideally once a week, the patient is reassessed based on their response to the HEP, instructed on HEP progressions and modifications, and provided targeted hands-on treatment. However, this treatment model relies on the patient's motivation to be compliant with their HEP. The overall time frame (6-8 weeks) remains the same due to tissue repair and healing timelines; of note, this time frame tends to be longer for chronic conditions.
PT is not just for traditional "injuries." We love to help in several other ways, such as:
